The Real Gospel of Jesus Christ - Contrasted with Some Pseudo-Gospels

The #gospel of #Jesus #Christ is NOT that we should be kind to each other, though we Christians who have developed that fruit of The Holy Spirit should, of course, express it.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is that everyone will be saved who verbally confesses the name of Master Jesus out of the knowledge that His death is *effective* to save all who call on Him. Then, after that, because we also believe His Resurrection, we will tend toward righteousness, including kindness.

Giving people shelters and food is NOT the gospel.  Calling on His name to save and to be the Master of a person due to these four facts are: the two I have said and the lesser two of His burial and subsequent witness by many.  It's what the Bible says.

Doing Romans 10:9a & 10:10b for salvation, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in the righteousness of Romans 10:9b & 10:10a.

Repent and be baptized is not the gospel.  We *do* automatically turn away from our evil when we sincerely turn toward Christ - He gives us power over our sin in a literal way and in a way that nothing else can.  We *are* baptized in The Holy Spirit automatically when we are born from above by verbally confessing Master Jesus and calling on the name of the Lord, like the Bible says.

The gospel is it's own thing, and it is NOT the entire Bible in a general smush, like the distorted face of a child smushing it out on a piece of glass.  The whole Bible points to Jesus, Himself, but the gospel is the things He *did* and the response we *do* because of what He did.

The way to be saved is very specific.  If you are a preacher, is this what you preach?  If you are a seeker, is this what you've been told?  We can have confidence that Christ *will* save all His Father gave to Him, and that all of those *shall* call on His name in sincerity and will believe these few points of doctrine about Him.

There are many pseudo-gospels, though, which will not lead us to salvation.  Belief that Jesus is like a philosophical teacher is not enough.  Trying to do what He said in the Sermon on the Mount is not enough, or living by the law of love or the Beatitudes.  Confessing Master Jesus with your mouth due to believing that He died for our sins (just like the Bible prophesied about Him beforehand and described afterward), was buried, then God raised Him the third day (just like the Bible prophesied about Him beforehand and described afterward), and was seen after that by Peter, the disciples, over 500 brothers at one time (most of whom were still alive when Paul told this then-old creed to the Corinthian church), and then He was seen by James and then the apostles (at-large) and then by Paul the Apostle, after he was violently persecuting Christ's Church, but God took hold on him as He does all of us who do call on the name of Master Jesus and believe these things about Him!
