The Modern Religion of Rome Hurts Christ's Church

In ancient Rome, no one could *antagonize* other religions and everyone had to celebrate the Imperial religion a little.

Just keeping quiet that others' religions are ineffective with God is not a quietude or peace that Christians can allow, because the practice of Christianity *does* assert that others' religions are worthless.

Just a little incense, saying "Caesar is Lord", is all it took, but Christians know that Christ is Lord, and can never participate in such blasphemy.

I wonder if Western culture is the Revived Roman Empire; the toleration of false teaching within the Church is evidence that Christ's Church has been weakened by compromise with the lack of antagonism with others' religions and with the blasphemous mixing with that secularism which guides our cultures.  No government is Lord.

Consider Revelation 2:12-17.  Just a little paganism, just a little quietude, and Christ is filthily hidden, and our lights are hidden under a basket.  Yell it out!  Tell the World about Him!  You are not loving Christ by being a good neighbor or civically responsible in the eyes of the World.  Stopping ourselves due to claims of being "Holier-than-thou" is mere compromise, and it is losing the race and the fight in the World.

Not only should we keep from this, but we should call it out in the Church and hold each other accountable to keep from this and any other sin, such as was exposed in 1 Corinthians 5.
