Definition of Coincidences and Our Problem with Them
The definition of "coincidence" is an outcome of the fact that we are wired to notice when things coincide. Coincidence is the functional outworking of our nervous systems, and it is a soulish property. The problem we can have with coincidences comes when we believe it is a spiritual property.
Some Christians have false beliefs in superstitions and quasi-spiritualities that are actually soulish in their origins. These Christians should realize that the coincidences they discover, which lead them, are not special messages to them, but they are, in fact, mere coincidences. Coincidences must happen, statistically and by the fact that we have such a word, enough to be noticed. When you notice a coincidence, therefore, don't think you've stumbled onto something or were specially given something that you are duty-bound to follow, as though God told you to do the thing. That is a false way.
Cry out to Master Jesus to relieve you of the false belief and to show you His true communication to all of us the same through His Special Book, and ask Him to make you content to be in a very exclusive group already as a Christian. Thank God, dear Christian, for loving you and for knowing how to communicate with you all truth - through His Spirit and through his people, and you will hear nothing from Him that contradicts His Bible.
