A Plea to the Church Concerning Salvation Doctrine and Right Behavior to the Church and the World
The Church often tells the World to behave with the dictates, sometimes muddled, that God has given to the Church, even going so far as to tell the World that it should confess it's sin in order to save it's soul!
We need to know what salvation doctrine is - once and for all - in order to 1) rest in the assurance of salvation ourselves, and also to 2) communicate about salvation with the Church and with the World in the various ways that God has given us.
Doing Romans 10:9a and 10:10b for salvation, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, results in the righteousness of Romans 10:9b and 10:10a.
Teach, admonish, correct and rebuke, while regarding them as a sibling in Christ even as we go to an unrepentant sibling, and then we go to them again with another witness or two, then in front of the whole Church, before shunning such an unrepentant sibling, to give his body to Satan to be hurt so he will turn toward God afresh. In contrast with this, with gentleness and wisdom, walk circumspectly around the World!
Love the siblings overtly all the time, and do not keep from giving your worldly enemy food and drink when he is hungry or thirsty, in order to pour hot coals over his head. Do not be friends with the enemies of God! Tell the whole World the gospel, for the purpose of witnessing to them so they are seen to be gainsaying God and for the purpose of calling out of the World those who will be Christians. Do good to the Church and love the Church on a regular and comprehensive basis - the World will see that and be drawn if they hear God's voice.
The Church is NOT the World, nor the World the Church! God is not a God of confusion, and we should start with certainty at the beginning by understanding the short and specific doctrine of salvation that even Paul received and did not invent, but which he faithfully passed on to all who are being saved.
God knows the hearts, and those preachers who have gone before us but have died from this Earth, who have been afflicted with generalizations where specification existed and, still worse, with their own specifications (ie. "repent and be baptized"), which were never given as salvation doctrine, these people are in God's hands and are outside the purview of all who consider this now.
Confess Master Jesus to be saved. Confess your sins after you are saved. Believe Christ's death, burial, Resurrection and subsequent witness - in accordance with the Scriptures - and do not rest your salvation upon any other beliefs; "believe all things" if you are already born again, saved, justified or whatever words you understand to mean the spiritual change that a human undergoes to become something else at the very moment we receive Christ's Spirit at salvation, and distinguish between salvation and sanctification doctrines.
