Salvation and Sanctification Combine Like This in the Ones God Knows are Saved
Verbally confess Master Jesus, due to your knowledge that He died on the cross for our sins, and was buried, and He arose from the dead on the third day, and He was seen by a great cloud of witnesses, and you will be saved. Then your belief in the Resurrection will also lead you to righteousness. Romans 10:9a & 10:10b, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in Romans 10:9b & 10:10a.
Confess with your mouth Master Jesus, because with the mouth confession is made to salvation. We do this because we believe that Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, and He was buried, and He rose again from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures, and He was seen afterward by Peter, then by the Twelve Apostles. After that, He was seen by more than five hundred brothers at once, of whom the greater part remained to the time when Paul recorded this, although some of them were fallen asleep then. After that, he was seen of James, and then by all the apostles. And last of all he was seen by Paul also, as of one born out of due time. Then, when we believe God raised Him from the dead, our belief in the Resurrection of Christ leads to righteousness.
Doing Romans 10:9a & 10:10b for salvation, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in the righteousness Romans 10:9b & 10:10a.
Romans 10:9a&10b, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, makes Romans 10:9b&10a.
There are few salvational issues. They are contained in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 and Romans 10:9-10. I know of nothing outside those two passages that pertain to salvation. However, I don't say that there's nowhere else that contains some point which is the same as found in those passages. Briefly, they are: 1) "Confess with your mouth Master Jesus", 2) believing He died for our sins, 3) was buried, 4) was raised the third day, and 5) was seen by the witnesses. There's certainly no more than that, because both those passages say that the things contained in the passages are what we must do (Romans) and believe (Corinthians) to be saved. The one point that is in both is to believe the Resurrection (but that is for righteousness in the Romans passage and part of salvation doctrine in the Corinthians passage). I don't think it's possible to parse it much finer than this, and what shakes out at the end is: Verbally confess Master Jesus, because you believe that His certain death is for our sins and that He was certainly raised from death. That's all - in Mark 16:16, baptism is commanded or mentioned alongside salvation, but the absence of baptism is pointedly not said to keep anyone from salvation. If you find something that says that baptism or anything else is part of what we "must" do to be saved (using any words), please - you'll let me know out of your love for me, won't you, dear Church?
Believe Christ's death was for salvation and all the other things in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, then verbally confess Master Jesus to be saved, and your belief in the Resurrection will lead you to right living, according to Romans 10:9-10.
Christianity teaches that we are saved by God's grace when we call on His name due to believing that His death is effective to save us from God's justice. Furthermore, Christianity teaches that believing the Resurrection of Christ leads us (who are saved this way) to righteousness. Doing Romans 10:9a & 10:10b, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in the righteousness of Romans 10:9b & 10:10a.
Call on the name of Master Jesus, due to believing His purposeful death is effective to mercifully save us from God's justice, and you will be saved. And believing that God raised Him from the dead leads you to gain righteousness.
It's highly significant that we must believe the points of the gospel that was taught to Paul and He passed on in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 to be saved, and that the thing we do is to verbally confess Master Jesus because we believe that. Yet righteousness comes to that confessed believer due to his belief in the particular gospel tenant of the Resurrection! Isn't that amazing! I am delighted in the fact of Christ's imputed righteousness, knowing that any amount of extreme stoical legalism could not force me to do what He causes me to do when I think of the power of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, Who's law we are now under. It's like a twisted, full-body knot has been released in me by finally understanding this. Oh, that the whole Church would become experts in salvation doctrine, not only for this sweet relief, but also to have a solid understanding of who is and who is not a Christian in the first place during this strange age of pseudo-Christianity. "Master Jesus, thank You for Your extreme care in executing Your ..our Father's meticulous and useful plan for us!"
Salvation as per Romans 10:9a & 10:10b, due to *believing* 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, leads to righteousness as per Romans 10:9b & 10:10a.
Doing Romans 10:9a & Romans 10:10b, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in Romans 10:9b & Romans 10:10a.
Doing Romans 10:9a & 10:10b, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in the righteousness of Romans 10:9b & 10:10a.
The demons do believe - and they don't accept that His death is effective to save them and call on His name - Master Jesus - for His salvation! We who have truly believed Him *do* the works, *because* we have been called out and justified. God works in us to cause us to do them, more and more. And everyone who is foreknown and justified by God *will* *do* good works. Patience is a good work, and controlling your temper (Titus 1:7). Christians do these and many more good works. Setting up a soup kitchen is even a good work, especially if they teach only the doctrine of salvation in Christ and not humanistic helps through pretending the good works without Him.
1 John 3:4-6 says that we do not (ever) commit sin, because we are in Christ, and Paul says in Romans 7 that his body does the sinning, his mind serves Christ. 1 John 3:4-6 plus Romans 7 says that we are not the one sinning, because it is literally impossible for us to sin - even as our eyes take in the beautiful woman and our flesh lusts - because it's our body that does it and not we ourselves, who do serve God and who are guiltless of that sin which Jesus has already paid for on the cross. It's so obvious, that Paul had to tell the Corinthians to stop sinning just because they are under grace, and that they shouldn't want to because that's not the type of spirit we have now. He didn't say to stop it because we'd lose our salvation by willingly continuing in it. "But of [God] are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption" - 1 Corinthians 1:30. We are of God, because we are in Christ Jesus, wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption for us.
So, now we have the answer. Christians literally do not commit sin, our bodies do. We dominate our bodies to keep them from sinning, because we are in Christ Jesus, who is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption, and the spirit we now have works against the sinfulness of our bodies.
Grace alone for salvation. Works are added after salvation for righteousness, as we believe God raised Christ from death, and we see the spirit who raised him up, and that spirit is not unrighteous, and so we work hard to subjugate our sinful bodies, even as we chosen Christians are not able to sin, but we serve God with our minds. Our minds forcefully dominate our bodies out of love for God, self and others, and out of our new nature.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8 has the belief for salvation, and Romans 10:9-10 includes both the action for salvation and a particular belief which, although it is also for salvation, leads to righteousness. So, it covers salvation AND sanctification or righteous works, and that passage is the obvious solution to all these strange problems, if only it would be pointed out directly. We tend toward righteousness .... by believing Christ's Resurrection! It's so very fabulous. It's not by our works that we are saved, and it's not by trying hard that we gain righteous works, either - both are by faith (and salvation is by a work that springs inevitably from our belief - to confess with the mouth Master Jesus!). It's very humbling, and it's very, very encouraging, able to wipe away all these problems that seem so debatable and uncertain! I yearn for The Church to become experts in this first and foremost.. then we can know who we're talking to (Church or World) and speak to and otherwise deal appropriately with both groups.
Food is one thing, and nourishment of the soul is one thing, but Master Jesus gives life! Run to Him. Salvation comes to all who call on His name in belief that His death is effective to pay our sin penalty to the just God, and He rose again to new life.
Romans 10:9-10 makes salvation explicitly different from righteousness and springing from different causes. Salvation is from an action and righteousness is from a belief, yet they are bound together in a set of beliefs listed in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, where salvation's originating action is done due to those beliefs.
Doing Romans 10:9a & 10:10b for salvation, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in the righteousness of Romans 10:9b & 10:10a! It really is good news! And it's very straightforward. We *will* do all the good things when we go to Him, trusting Him; see! Delight with me in Master Jesus, exuberantly, if, indeed, you are my brother in our same Master and Savior Jesus Christ! Salvation doctrine is objective for all Christ's Body - His Church. It is in no way subjective (even if we don't understand it, somehow). There *are* many antichrists in the World, but those who belong to Him don't need to worry, because it is His hand that upholds each of us He has called and justified and will glorify by His own action and for His own glory! :^D It's marvelous! It is firm. We are made *for* Him.. He is not powerless, but He has us ..all.. and no one else snuck into His hand.....
Salvation doctrine requires 4 beliefs as per 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 (like Paul was told, and unless your belief was just empty) and 1 action as per Romans 10:9-10 (it's not a work of the Law, but it's still an action!). Alter calls without all this information falls short of the total salvation message. Sanctification in righteousness comes by belief in the Resurrection as per Romans 10:9-10.
