Homosexual Harm

"I have seen a lot of damage done over the years within the lives of those who have felt that they had to hide that struggle or deny that struggle or just not share that burden with others." -Karen Swallow Prior, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary English professor

- Is the struggle between culture and individual or between parts of the individual?  The first option doesn't make much sense in secular culture, which has been accepting of homosexuality for over 20 years, and why would a homosexual want to be part of the Church?  The struggle against the flesh is common to the Church in many areas other than sexual perversion.  A Christian who struggles with homosexuality should confess it to his siblings in Christ and ask them for prayer ("share that burden", as the professor puts it), just as any Christian should confess their faults to each other, in accordance with James 5:16.  Not doing so harms that Christian just like any other sin that is allowed to fester (and then promoted as good, especially by those who seem to be Christian leaders!).
