The Conspicuous Absence of the Gospel
The conspicuous absence of the gospel in the many places the Church interacts with the World to help it demeans Christ's salvation doctrine by relegating it to the great many things that seem useless to help the World. Why isn't knowledge of salvation included with free lunches and medical care? It could be written on large banners on the wall or lunch trays so it doesn't seem to be "preachy".. Gasp! WHY?!
Why try to get in to places that you believe would exclude you for telling it? Isn't the Church meant to interact with the World foremost by telling Worldlings how to be saved so that some of them might become siblings in Christ? Is the love of giving a sandwich or the privilege of being allowed around a group of Worldlings better than the love of giving them the gospel? But do you, dear sibling, know the gospel? Churches are confused and unaligned over it, but the Bible is explicit: believe the facts about the Master that are listed in 1 Corinthians 15:3b-8. That's explicit enough and simple enough. And do the thing mentioned 3 times in Romans 10:9, 10, and 13.. to. be. saved.
So go, and stop demeaning salvation for soup or a bandage or in acquiescing to the filthy imagination of more grace from transubstantiation than already comes from Christ's actual death, burial, Resurrection and subsequent witness, and our confession of the name of Master Jesus. Shun unrepentant Christians and whole denominations and proponents of pseudo-gospels. Stop being embarrassed at the power of God in the face of the wicked enemy of God. Allow God to privilege you with helping Him draw out future siblings in Christ by giving them this simple knowledge, and be well, dear siblings, and rejoice that you are making a difference in this wicked World by preaching the gospel - sometimes, even once or thrice - in all the nooks and crannies where it has not been heard in generations, even when and where no law has barred it, but strange cowardice, which I have been a part of, and an unclean walk and approach in the World has staggered toward them as though the World's selective and manipulative thoughts about our precious and almighty Master, The Christ, Jesus should be our thoughts also, which has been a great trick of which we, as the whole Church, should repent, because what He did is the love He has, and it should be told to be shown!
