How to Serve Food to the World

When the Church gives out food on a regular basis without telling the people they are bound for Hell and then the Lake of Fire, the Church does not carry out Christ's commission to spread knowledge of what He has done to save them or what they must believe and do to be saved by His sacrifice.  The gospel is simple: believe the tenets given in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 (there are four of them) and complete the action given in Romans 10:9a, 10b, and verse 13 (there is one of them).  The gospel is straightforward, barebones, and not up for debate.

The kindness of giving out food is overshadowed when the gospel is never given, because Christianity, Christ Himself, and Christ's Church are made to look like a club focused on kindness, even though the main purpose is kept hidden.  Also, the World is outflanking us in kindness and other things, such as counseling.  Happy smiles, psychologists, secular charities and so forth have been integral in the World and growing in it since the Enlightenment.

In what situation would telling the World the gospel be more natural than when they come to the Church of their own free will?  Don't say they can get the gospel inside the building on Sunday alone with the preacher in his office or by a prayer that doesn't even directly tell the gospel (according to the Scriptures) after deciphering the condensed invitation barely mentioned at the end of the service by rote!  Tell them freely the reality of their situation when they openly come to you to get a free hamburger!  Tell them when they are happy to be eating - it's a quick thing; you won't take up their time too much for it.

Believe that Jesus died *for our sins* (that is, as a substitutionary atoning sacrifice, which God required for His own reasons - we need not understand it, but we *must* believe it!) in accordance with Scripture, then He was buried, then God resurrected Him on the third day in accordance with Scripture, and then He was seen by Peter, the Disciples, over 500 brothers at once (most of whom were still alive when Paul wrote to the Corinthian congregation this formulation of the gospel that Paul learned), and then Master Jesus Christ was seen by James, then by the apostles, and then by Paul.  Believing these things, call on the name of the Master for salvation by verbally confessing Master Jesus, and you will be saved, and your righteousness will grow with your belief in the Resurrection.

This is the finest spiritual meal, which all need to eat once in order to live.  Do not overshadow it by it's strange absence from your interactions with the World, who are dying whether or not you mention it to them.
