Details of Other Gospels Contrasting with the Biblical Gospel - Wesley and the Social Gospel

Wesley knew that he was running into a contradiction, but he just couldn't hammer out the details.  He knew faith is all that salvation is based on (and we shouldn't forget that single work that is the natural outcome of that faith - calling on the name of the Master to be saved by confessing with the mouth Master Jesus), but he also knew that we who are saved gain righteousness, which he wrongly intermixed with salvation doctrine to seem like righteousness is a prerequisite of salvation, or that the righteous are the ones God calls.  Righteousness, however, according to the Scriptures, is gained by the already justified, born again believer who specifically believes (that is, continues to consider) Christ's Resurrection (Romans 10:9b-10a)!  It has to do with contemplation of the Spirit of Life Who raised Christ from the dead, Who is with us believers (already saved by the real gospel), and Who teaches the mind of Christ to us who are actually saved by the gospel of belief and confession, in accordance with the Scriptures.

In short, sanctification or righteousness is an outcome of and not a basis for salvation.  And that changes our whole approach to salvation, sanctification and the freedom of being a Christian.  You are not spreading the gospel in a different way from me, you are spreading a different gospel than Paul did, and, if sins do have different levels of severity, the subtle spiritual wickedness that has caused confusion about the basis of salvation (making it based on our works after all, and on our willful refusal to sin or to trick ourselves into thinking that we are somewhat good and trying), the subtle spiritual wickedness that takes the glory away from Christ, because God has prepared a simple salvation all on His own, that subtle spiritual wickedness must be worse than murder.  See it.  Think about it, and accept it.  No one comes to God, except God draws us.

Also, once drawn and believing and confessing in accordance with Scripture, the saved Christian does have relationship with God even though we hold sin in our bodies, and we can grow far beyond the very low level that we fear we must shamefully stay at when we believe the falsehood of the basis of our salvation which we have falsely believed by Wesley's Way of Salvation, which is, by its effect through and through, another gospel.  Whether we try to feed the body of the Worldling like the Social Gospel or the soul of the Worldling by raising them up in cultured pseudo-rightness by ethics like we have seen all around us, it is the same false way to be called by God to belief and confession to salvation.  God picks and chooses, and the ones He picks will simply respond when we hear the method of salvation that Paul learned and then taught.  There's no repentance of sins or water baptism (which was, indeed, meaningful to the Jews of that ancient time, who practices baptism for many causes) as a basis, but only belief of specific things (I count four) and then confession of Master Jesus out loud for salvation (1 Corinthians 15:3b-8, see also vv. 1-3a for background that this is, in fact, the gospel of salvation; Romans 10:9a, 10b, 13 for salvation to those who sincerely believe; Romans 10:9b-10a for gaining righteousness).
