Be Constrained, Particular and Straightforward in Decisions about Obviously Open, Emotion Driven Problems with General, Sweeping but Wrong-Headed Solutions
Why would the government expose itself to so much open cruelty against illegal immigrant detention methods? It seems to me to be overly exposed and obvious. One possible reason these savvy people would not hide it more is that they are looking to create an emotional and near-sighted reaction with an outcome that legislates open borders. Open borders mean severely lessened national security. The problem is not immigrant law. Remember, they don't NEED to keep these people in extreme conditions (laying on the floor, packed together with inches between them, with cage doors). So, react to the particular reality problem and not to the sweeping, emotion driven, constrained news-voice driven, and limited choice that they will probably be "giving" us a little later (eg. "Open the borders for these wretched people OR Follow the HATE law" - well, follow the hate law if that's how THEY put it). Nuanced decisions - and in this case, with so much money being legislated lately, pretty straightforward decisions - can be made, even in a crisis. At the very least, bigger cages could be built, but all the issues could be addressed in an orderly way so we don't end up giving up what we really want to protect, including sane government, itself..
"Master Jesus, keep Your own and make the World go to Hell. Thank You for making correct decisions, even in such a knotty problem as Satan and Adam handed You, praiseworthy God. Amen."
