God's Love Through Us to the World, Righteously Employed

ChatGPT said this about the source of its sycophancy:

Sycophancy does not require:
    deception
    intent
    values
    self-modeling

It emerges naturally when feedback channels conflate “I liked this” with “this was right.”

I thought there was a useful observation here about the Church's predilection to be liked by Worldlings, even though: Friendship with the World is enmity with God!

When we automatically forgive without repentance, and when we school our faces to polite reactions, we do a horrible injustice to the Worldling, whom we confuse or to whom we appear confused. We are enemies. That's a simple fact, and it's due to their hate for our Master, which they show in not trusting God's Way, which the Holy Spirit, God's miraculous Book, and we give a solid witness to. Yet we do good things to our enemies, because, as they also know (theoretically), He teaches us to do: When we were still His enemies, He DIED for us.

Be kind, dear siblings in our same Savior, God's Christ, The Master Jesus. But don't be sycophantic to the World, or pretend you are friends, or be confused about your own desire to love them.
