Are Jehovah’s Witnesses Saved?
Matthew 12:32a - "And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him...". As far as I can tell from Scripture, even if they fail to understand that Jesus is God, if they accept the gospel, then we can't judge that they are not saved. My best understanding of the gospel is: Verbally confess Master Jesus, due to your knowledge that He died on the cross for our sins, and was buried, and He arose from the dead on the third day, and He was seen by a great cloud of witnesses, and you will be saved. Then your belief in the Resurrection will also lead you to righteousness. Romans 10:9a & 10:10b, due to believing 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, results in Romans 10:9b & 10:10a. As far as I can tell, they are Christians. It is a fearful thing to dismiss something about God, but their reason for this mistake includes a desire to protect something that is said about God – that “God is one”, which biblical truth could be taken to mean that He is singular in His person, though “I and my Father are one” would seem to disabuse any serious Christian Bible student of that false notion.
