The Real Gospel Leads to the Behavioral Change that the Social Gospel Does Not
True salvation causes true change; feeding the poor of the World instead of or before the poor in the Church, and feeding the poor in general in the Church before the poor widows, known for good works, too old to remarry, who don't have saved family members to care for them, according to the Scriptures, these things are perverse. We must feed the widow, tend to our own in the Church, and not refuse to tell the actual gospel of salvation doctrine that God revealed to Paul to those Worldlings we help. Those Worldlings are our enemies, as they are the enemies of Christ, yet, because we delight in His goodness, we do good to our enemies, and it's like pouring boiling water over their heads. Is it like pouring boiling water over the heads of those Worldlings we feed on a daily or weekly basis for years yet never tell them the good news about how the death which comes from their sin can be averted by belief in the saving work and confession of Master Jesus? Social justice is not the saving work of Christ, nor is there any justification due to it for those who practice it, but justification and eternal salvation is dependent on the objective doctrine of salvation, finite and simple, as given in the Scriptures and not what we've heard according to human philosophizing.
True salvation does cause true change; let's honor God's Word by behaving as He's taught and not as we've imagined.
