Unrepentant Sin

It's not that allowing your flesh to sin until the day you die is so much the evidence of unregeneracy, but it is that the regenerate Christian's desire is for Christ, which includes His commands.  The Father's will is that we believe in Christ, and it is possible to believe in Christ in that way while engaging in a warfare with your flesh that seems for a time to beat you.  The struggle is precisely to overcome the flesh -- the engagement is the evidence of regeneracy, not the winning, although, given time, winning is inevitable, and Christ, Himself, will cause all His own to finally win upon receipt of a new body, when we see Him as He is.  No Christian is in danger of being shut out of heaven due to being a murderer, because, at the time of entering, that murder that was in some Christians will have been excised by the transformation of the flesh into a body like Christ has.

We do follow the commands of Christ as well as we are currently strong enough to do, and we follow the flesh insofar as we are currently weak to fail into, even to the point of desiring the sin with our wills and minds and hearts.  Let Christ triumph in you, even through agonies, and He will build you up as you look toward and yearn for Him.  Do the work of cleaning your mind by washing it with the Word and by doing all the things it says - singing Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, telling your faults to other Christians, shunning unrepentant Christians and staying away from the insidious things inside your siblings' flesh while walking circumspectly with wisdom and gentleness around the World.  Learn God's Law by knowing and reflecting on the Resurrection of Christ and your own Resurrection, which The Holy Spirit performed on you when you were saved, and know that The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Righteousness in Christ Jesus our Master.  Be sanctified, dear saved one, and know the joys of knowing Christ more closely - He will hold you up when you would have naturally fallen.

Christ holds me up when I would have, by nature, fallen down with pains in my body and soul, and my spirit is able to rejoice in Him, not only because it is now alive again after it died when I first sinned as a baby or toddler, but also because my Master Jesus Christ shines with good things, for which I am very glad, indeed!
