From Twelve Steps Back to Full Bible Integration for Christians Attempting to Live by Pseudo-Biblical, Worldly Philosophy

 1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become unmanageable.
 2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
 3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
 4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
 5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
 6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
 7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
 8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
 9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

 1. Admit sin.
 2. Believe that Jesus Christ could restore us to sanity - eg. restore us to right relationship with God.
 3. Turn our will and our lives over to God's care.
 4. Consider our sin.
 5. Confess our sin.
 6. Expect God to separate us from our sin.
 7. Ask God to separate us from our sin.
 8. List everyone we have sinned against, and be willing to tell and show them that we have turned from that sin.
 9. Tell and show them that we have turned from that sin, unless it would hurt them to do so.
10. Continue to consider our ongoing sin and confess it when it happens.
11. Pray, specifically for knowledge of God's will and the power to carry it out.
12. Preach the gospel and make disciples of Master Jesus Christ.

1., 4. In order to understand the tenets of the gospel of Jesus Christ, we must understand what sin is, that it leads to death, and that death is separation from God.
6., 7., 2. Expect God to separate us from our sin. Believe the tenets of the gospel - Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, was buried, God raised Him from death on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and He was seen afterward by many witnesses - and that believing these things, salvation happens through calling on His name by verbally confessing Master Jesus.  This salvation restores us to right relationship with God.
3., 11. The Holy Spirit guides us as we read Scripture, pray and are willingly obedient to the Truth He produces in us as He teaches us the mind of Christ.
5., 10. "Confess your faults one to another" (James 5:16).
8., 9. "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go thy way.  First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift" (Matthew 5:23-24).  "Confess your faults one to another" (James 5:16).  The onus of repentance is on both the repenter and repentee as per Luke 17:4 - "And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turns again to you, saying, "I repent", you shall forgive him."
